Superman fights for truth justice and the American way.
Born on the dying planet of Krypton, he was placed in spaceship as an infant
by his true parents. Superman was sent to Earth where our yellow sun would give
him incredible powers. Superman is faster than a speeding bullet. He can
fly in the air and outer space. He is bullet proof and has x-ray vision.
Superman was conceived in 1934 by Jerry Siegel and Joe Schuster. In 1938 Action
comic #1 was issued introducing Superman. The comic book's popularity swept the
country and in 1939 Superman became a newspaper comic strip. In 1940 action comic
#23 was issued introducing Superman's nemesis Lex Luther. In 1941 Superman became
a movie star appearing in the first of 17 cartoons for the Fleischer Studios. Between
1951 and 1957 Superman had his own television show with 104 episodes. In 1978
"Superman the Movie" starring Christopher Reeve brought our super hero on to the
silver screen (3 sequel films followed). In the 90s Superman came back to television
in the series "Lois & Clark" and again in the 21st century with "Smallville" about
the teenage years of Superman. Party supplies like paper plates, napkins, and cups are
