Superman History

Superman History

Superman fights for truth justice and the American way. Born on the dying planet of Krypton, he was placed in spaceship as an infant by his true parents. Superman was sent to Earth where our yellow sun would give him incredible powers. Superman is faster than a speeding bullet. He can fly in the air and outer space. He is bullet proof and has x-ray vision. Superman was conceived in 1934 by Jerry Siegel and Joe Schuster. In 1938 Action comic #1 was issued introducing Superman. The comic book's popularity swept the country and in 1939 Superman became a newspaper comic strip. In 1940 action comic #23 was issued introducing Superman's nemesis Lex Luther. In 1941 Superman became a movie star appearing in the first of 17 cartoons for the Fleischer Studios. Between 1951 and 1957 Superman had his own television show with 104 episodes. In 1978 "Superman the Movie" starring Christopher Reeve brought our super hero on to the silver screen (3 sequel films followed). In the 90s Superman came back to television in the series "Lois & Clark" and again in the 21st century with "Smallville" about the teenage years of Superman. Party supplies like paper plates, napkins, and cups are a perfect way to complete a Superman Party Theme. Party decorations like inflatables, and beads adds to the adventure of a Superman Party Theme. Superman loot bags tucked in basket or a Superman pi´┐Żata can be used as a centerpiece and double as party prizes. Party favors like action figures, tattoos, green glow strips, and badges will create the power and fun of a Superman Party Theme.
