Look for low-fat cuts of meat.  "Prime" and "Choice" are higher in fat than "Select."
Light meat poultry is leaner than dark meat.
Ground turkey breast is much lower in fat than regular ground turkey.
Tuna packed in water has fewer fat calories than tuna packed in oil.
When possible, choose nonfat dairy products.
