Tip of the day... Almost any party-related stain can be removed with club soda and hand soap. Soak the end of a towel in the club soda and vigorously dab at the stain. Once it has faded rub a little hand soap on the wet towel and dab again. When you wash the stain should disappear.

Finger your food! Here are some foods you are allowed to eat with your hands. Provide warm wet wash cloths for clean up.

Planning a picnic? Make perfect fried chicken.
A few tips:
1. Soak your chicken in buttermilk at least 12 hours before frying.
2. Season the chicken not the flour.
3. After battered let chicken rest on a wire-rack, this also removes excess batter.
4. After frying place on a wire-rack to keep crispy, avoid paper towel on plate.
5. Pack chicken in a cardboard bucket to retain freshness and crunch.

What not to bring... A good guest never comes to a party empty handed! However, do not bring something that the host must stop what they are doing, to fuss with your gift. Instead of bringing flowers, bring a plant. Your host will not have to go find a vase, and cut stems, and so on. Come on, they are busy enough!
