Go Diego Go, A Party With a Theme!
For those kid that are fans of Dora the Explorer there is also the kid’s show, Go Diego Go!, in which Dora’s cousin Diego along with his trusty friends, click, baby jaguar, the bobo brothers and the rescue pack head out on a regular basis to save animals in need. This is a great show for kids with an interest in animals, the jungle, helping others and the show is bilingual with Diego speaking some Spanish and singing songs in Spanish. Because it has captured the imagination of so many children, a party with a Go Diego Go theme party would go over excellently any type of child's party. Research has shown that both Dora the Explorer and Go Diego Go! help kids to learn Spanish much more easily.
Boys and girls alike who have an interest in the show would love to have a Go Diego Go themed party for their birthdays. The show has many elements that you can make use of in your party plans. Since the show is set in the jungle and focuses on animals you can get wall decorations featuring the jungle and its animals. Plastic inflatable animals can be scattered around the room to add to the feeling. It’s also bilingual and features elements of the Spanish culture. You can hand out maracas at your party as party favors and for part of the entertainment during have the kids take a whack or two at a colorful piñata filled with candy.
Go Diego Go didn’t last very long only about a year on Nick Jr. but it was popular so kids are always asking to see the reruns. You may be able to track down some DVDs or VHS tapes of episodes for the kids to watch at the party. Diego did star in an hour long special called, “The Great Dinosaur Rescue” with his cousin Dora. Don’t forget to pick up paper supplies featuring Go Diego Go! theme party. You should be able to find plates and napkins, streamers, a tablecloth and cups for the kids to use when they are eating up their favorite Mexican snacks. Who’s up for quesadillas?
