Mardi Gras Party
Mardi Gras party or Fat Tuesday is generally the day before Ash Wednesday and Lent. It is the biggest party of the year. Mardi Gras is celebrated all over the world. One of the biggest Mardi Gras Carnivals is in New Orleans, Louisiana. Mardi Gras begins in January with the Twelfth Night Feast of the Epiphany. It is the time to let lose and enjoy yourself before Lent. People of all ages, wear a variety of costumes and participate in merriment. The Parades officially start the Friday before Ash Wednesday. There are floats and parades in the many parishes of New Orleans. These floats are spectacular and are produced by specific Krewes or clubs. The Krewes who ride the floats throw beads at the crowd. During Mardi gras the object of the game is catch as many Beads as possible.
