Oktoberfest Party
The first Oktoberfest was not really a festival at all, but the public celebration of the wedding of Crown Prince Luitpold I and Princess Theressa of Bavaria on October 17, 1810. Start planning your celebration now. Oktoberfest is not only an event, it is also a style of beer. An Oktoberfest is brewed very much like the reddish-amber Marzen beer that was served at the Crown Prince's wedding in 1810. Order the kegs ahead of time and don't forget some apple juice for the kids. Traditionally the polka is the dance of Oktoberfest.
